The health care team at MD Revolution includes multiple Board-certified physicians, nutritionists, a metabolic specialist, physical fitness trainers, and yoga therapists. This trans-disciplinary approach targets your cumulative well-being with a method aimed at optimizing your current health and preventing the development of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.

The team includes:

Samir Damani, M.D., Pharm.D., F.A.C.C.

Samir Damani, the medical director of DNA 3-Day, is a practicing cardiologist and is considered a “change agent” in cardiovascular medicine because of his emphasis on a more individualized approach to therapy based on a patient’s genetics, medical and family history, lifestyle, and life goals. He is one of the few physicians who has clinically trained as a pharmacist – an advantage because of the increasing importance of gene-drug interactions (pharmacogenomics) in health care.

Dr. Damani, who is certified in both cardiology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine for an additional year after completing his residency training.

While completing a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Damani earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Investigation at The Scripps Research Institute’s Kellogg School of Science and Technology, a top five ranked graduate program in the biological sciences by U.S. News and World Report.

In 2009, Dr. Damani was selected as one of the Scripps Translational Science Institute’s inaugural clinical scholars in a program sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Because of his expertise in translational medicine, he was appointed a scientific advisor for the prominent journal Science Translational Medicine.
